A 34-story knife-edge tower on the man-made Al Maryah Island, Rosewood Abu Dhabi opened in May 2013 as the brand's first foothold in the UAE. The architecture draws on Arabian falconry, with a curvilinear reflective glass façade that catches both daylight and Gulf water. Inside, the lobby delivers on the visual drama: a chandelier inspired by Bedouin tents, walls carved with mashrabiya patterns, and a welcome ritual of Arabic coffee and seven dates — one per emirate.

The entry-level room, but it doesn't feel that way. Dark wood tones offset by contrasting light fabrics, bespoke furniture, and a choice of king or twin beds. The Italian marble bathroom has a double vanity, walk-in rain shower, and a stand-alone soaking tub — with a sliding glass partition between bathroom and bedroom that lets in natural light (or closes for privacy).
