Helsinki Hub
Industrial-meets-Nordic-warm. Think exposed structures softened by timber tones, smart lighting panels, and Scandi minimalism. Coworking spaces and meeting rooms sit alongside leisure guests without the hotel feeling corporate.
Ask staff about the sun terrace in the rear courtyard — it gets sun all day and most guests don't find it on their own
Why It Matters
One of Helsinki's largest city-centre hotels in a genuinely interesting heritage building — the only Scandic property with this kind of industrial-loft character. Nordic Swan Ecolabel certified with 100% renewable electricity and recycled materials throughout.
A former 1920s printing house turned 352-room city hotel, right on the edge of Old Church Park. The building's industrial bones — high ceilings, raw textures, original structural elements — got a warm Scandinavian makeover rather than a bland renovation. Rooms lean loft-style, the restaurant doubles as a proper Italian trattoria open to the public, and the wellness suite occupies what used to be the printing works' bank vaults.
