Why It Matters
One of the first true lifestyle luxury hotels in Paris to break from the classical grand hotel formula. The Bonnie restaurant, bar and club on floors 15-16 offers a genuine 360° panoramic view of the city — including the Eiffel Tower light show — from what is reportedly the only fully glassed-in rooftop club in Paris. SO/ Paris is Paris's counterpoint to all those gilded grand hotels. Opened in summer 2022 inside a renovated 1950s office building in the Morland Mixité Capitale complex on the Right Bank, it sits between the Marais and Bastille with a front-row view of the Seine. The interior was designed by RDAI's Denis Montel and is genuinely daring: bold color palettes, parquet floors, AeroBull Bluetooth speakers shaped like dogs, and original artworks by Olafur Eliasson, Neil Beloufa, and Thomas Fougeirol on every surface. It's a fashion hotel in the truest sense — staff uniforms were designed by Patou's Guillaume Henry, and the digital art installation in the lobby by Judith Darmont follows you all the way to your room.

The entry-level room and still a solid choice. At 25 sqm, it's not enormous by any standard, but the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the interior courtyard and gardens keep it feeling light. King or twin configuration. Parquet floors, leather and wood accents by RDAI, CODAGE Paris bath products, AeroBull Bluetooth speaker, and a Nespresso machine. No city view, but considerably quieter than the Seine-facing rooms.
