Why It Matters
Part of a four-hotel group run by local owner Ali Yavuz (known as 'Kelebek Ali'), Sultan Cave is the flagship upscale property in the group. The on-site Seten Anatolian Restaurant earned recognition in the Michelin Guide 2026. The rooftop is one of the most-photographed sunrise spots in Turkey. Guests also get access to the swimming pool and cave Turkish bath at the adjacent sister property, Kelebek Special Cave Hotel.
Sultan Cave Suites sits on a terraced hillside at the top of Aydinli Hill, perched above the village of Göreme. The 35 rooms are carved directly into ancient cave dwellings — original stone walls preserved and woven into the room designs, arched doorways intact. The rooftop is arguably the most famous sunrise spot in all of Cappadocia: come 5am, hundreds of hot air balloons drift past eye level while you're still in your robe.
