Why It Matters
Awarded One Michelin Key for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025) as part of the Raya Collection. Holds Travelife Gold Certification and a Trusted Thailand stamp. One of the few places in Chiang Mai where you can walk to Wat Chedi Luang and Thapae Gate in minutes, yet feel completely removed from the street noise. The Sunday Walking Street market literally runs past the front entrance.
Tamarind Village is a Lanna-style boutique property sitting in Chiang Mai's historic old town, built around a series of flower-filled garden courtyards anchored by a 200-year-old tamarind tree. A bamboo archway frames the entrance and from the moment you step through it, the city outside genuinely disappears. With 41 rooms and 5 suites spread across low-rise pavilions, it feels more like a secluded village compound than a city hotel — and that's exactly the point.
