The Drayton Hotel occupies a restored 1890s bank building — the former American Trust and Bank Company — right at the corner of Drayton and Bay Street in Savannah's Historic District. Behind the Victorian stone façade you get 50 rooms with reclaimed wood floors, a Lowcountry seafood restaurant, a basement cocktail lounge with live music, and a rooftop bar staring directly at City Hall's gold dome. The design is historically informed but unmistakably contemporary, the work of owner Raghav Sapra and New York-based firm Marzipan.
