The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok sits on 24 acres of tropical gardens fronting Medana Beach on Lombok's quiet northwest coast — the island just east of Bali that most package tourists completely overlook. That's the point. The resort spreads across 30 pavilions and 20 villas built from coral rock with traditional thatched roofs, walled courtyards, lily ponds, and raised dining pavilions. Some villas come with private 8-metre pools. A 33.5-metre infinity pool anchors the centre of the property, and a private jetty gives direct access to the home reef. The Gili Islands are 15 minutes by boat.
