Why It Matters
Widely regarded as Soho's first true luxury hotel (opened 2004), holder of one Michelin Key (2025), winner of the King's Award for Enterprise 2024, and repeatedly named among London's best by Condé Nast Traveller, The Telegraph, and The Times. The only Firmdale property with two dedicated screening rooms — one seats 45, one seats 100 — making it a favourite for film industry events and private screenings.
The Soho Hotel opened in 2004 as Soho's first luxury hotel and remains one of London's most distinctive boutique properties. Built on the site of a former car park on a quiet mews off Dean Street, it punches well above its weight with 96 individually designed rooms by Kit Kemp, two screening rooms, Refuel Bar & Restaurant, and a resident Fernando Botero cat sculpture in the lobby. Earner of a Michelin Key (2025), it appeals strongly to the entertainment and fashion crowd, as well as theatre-goers who appreciate the pre-show set menu and the walk to the West End being measured in minutes rather than tube stops.

Larger than the Luxury Room category, with the same signature elements: warehouse-style windows, individually designed Kit Kemp interiors, granite and oak bathroom, and the full suite of in-room tech. Extra beds and cribs can be accommodated in this room type, making it viable for small families.
Deluxe Terrace Room
A Deluxe room with the added bonus of a private outdoor terrace — genuinely rare for central London. Same signature Kit Kemp styling and full amenities as the standard Deluxe category.
Luxury Junior Suite
Spacious suite with a dedicated sitting area, king-size bed (can be twinned into two singles), and a writing desk. High-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and Chromecast as standard. Granite and oak bathroom. Can accommodate extra bed or crib. Accessible versions are available with a low basin at 77cm.
Luxury Room
The entry-level room, but don't let that fool you. Warehouse-scale floor-to-ceiling windows, dramatic bedheads, granite and oak bathroom with deep soaking tub, and the full Kit Kemp treatment. Individually decorated with bespoke modern furniture and RIKRAK bath products. Flat-screen TV, Tivoli Radio, Bose SoundLink, Chromecast, fully stocked minibar, and 24-hour room service.
One Bedroom Richmond Suite
A full one-bedroom suite with a separate living room. Named after Richmond Mews, the hotel's quiet address. Designed to feel residential rather than corporate, with the full Kit Kemp layered aesthetic throughout.
One Bedroom Soho Suite
A full one-bedroom suite with spacious living room. One of the hotel's headline suites, designed with the Soho neighbourhood's creative energy in mind. Can accommodate sofa bed for children under 10 at no extra charge.
One Bedroom Terrace Suite
The flagship suite experience, combining a full one-bedroom layout with a private terrace that wraps around the upper floor. Panoramic London views. Very large by London standards, with the kit-kemp colour and textile maximalism at its most confident. Featured as the hero image across Firmdale's own Soho Hotel marketing.

Served daily from 12pm to 4:45pm. Currently themed around the Nine Regions menu, featuring regional British favourites reimagined as miniature savoury and sweet specialties. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available. Can be served in the Drawing Room or Library for an in-house guests experience.
A light-filled guest-only drawing room where you can have a quiet coffee, pour a glass of wine from the Honesty Bar, or arrange for Afternoon Tea to be served away from the restaurant. A genuinely relaxed alternative to the main bar.
