Why It Matters
One of the oldest continuously operating grand hotels in Florence, housed in a Brunelleschi-designed palace. The Art Deco Winter Garden, designed by Enzio Giovannozzi around 1922, and the French-influenced Salone delle Feste ballroom are architectural landmarks in their own right. Won Condé Nast Traveler Spain's Best Hotel in Europe in 2025.

Deluxe Room
Larger than the Premium category, with city or courtyard views. Available in Medici, Fiorentino, and Renaissance decor. All rooms carry individually hand-carved gold leaf plaques and are furnished with custom pieces tied to the specific palette.
Deluxe Suite
Features charming Arno River panoramas from a French or furnished balcony. The living room walls are decorated with fresco scenes of Renaissance life. Exceptional reproductions of 16th-century furnishings are complemented by handmade Florentine-style upholstery and linens.
Grand Deluxe Suite
A step above the Junior Suites, with a full living room and master bedroom. Views toward the Palazzo Vecchio available in some configurations. Marble soaking tub and walk-in shower in the bathroom.
Junior Suite
Separate living room and bedroom, available in Medici, Fiorentino, or Stanford styles. Some versions have balconies or Arno River views. Marble bathrooms with soaking tubs. Ideal for longer stays or when you want a proper living space to come home to.
Premium Arno River View
Same category as the Premium Room but with direct Arno River views. Available in Medici or Fiorentino palette. If you're going to stay here, this is the minimum worth booking — waking up to the river and the Tuscan hills is the whole point.
Premium Deluxe Arno River View
The largest standard room category — a premium tier within the Deluxe Arno River View level. Bathroom includes separate bath and shower, vanity, and large mirror.
Premium Room
Entry-level category, available in Medici, Fiorentino, or Renaissance decor schemes. All feature hand-carved gold leaf plaques, crystal chandeliers, custom-designed furniture, and marble bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and rainfall showerheads. Views are city or courtyard — no river view at this level.
Presidential Suite
At 200 sqm on the palace façade, this is the most prestigious address in the building. Unobstructed views of the Arno, Ponte Vecchio, and the surrounding hills. Includes a full dining room, separate bedroom, living room, and private balcony. Rates reported up to €20,000/night.

The Royal Suite — also called the Gioconda — draws its atmosphere from the Medici court, with hand-decorated wooden columns, unique antiques, and one-of-a-kind artwork.
