Standard High Line
Design-forward and unapologetically social. This is a party hotel with genuinely great architecture. The crowd skews creative and fashion-forward. Expect late nights, beautiful people, and a German beer garden directly under the High Line.
A mandatory facility fee of $35+tax per night is charged on top of the room rate; it covers gym access, WiFi, and daily bottled water — factor this in when comparing prices
Why It Matters
One of the few NYC hotels where every room has unobstructed views — city or Hudson River, guaranteed. The rooftop Le Bain is a legitimate NYC nightlife institution. The building physically bridges Washington Street on concrete pylons, making it architecturally unlike anything else in the city. Now part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program after Hyatt's late-2024 acquisition.
The Standard, High Line is an 18-story architectural landmark that literally straddles Washington Street and the High Line elevated park in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. All 338 rooms have floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows — every single one delivers either a skyline or Hudson River view, no exceptions. Designed by Todd Schliemann of Polshek Partnership with interiors by Shawn Hausman and Roman & Williams, the building won an AIA National Honor Award and has been called 'the most important building to be constructed in Manhattan' by Curbed.

Weekly drag brunch at The Standard Grill. A recurring Saturday fixture with Essa Noche — book via Resy, it fills up fast.
Catch the Hudson River sunset from the top floor with cocktails in hand. Le Bain opens for sunset service starting at 2–4pm depending on the day, transitioning to full club mode later in the evening. Book in advance — 21+ only and hotel guests are not guaranteed entry.
Recurring bingo nights at The Standard Grill — a rowdy and surprisingly competitive affair that's become a local institution.
The ground-level public plaza features rotating art installations and cultural activations. Free to view — open to the public, not just hotel guests.
Summer-only feature at the Biergarten. Special outdoor tables with three beer taps built directly into the table so guests pour their own. Available for small groups and private bookings.
