Whitley, A Luxury Collection Hotel
Polished Southern sophistication. Think high ceilings, warm wood tones, and staff who actually seem glad to see you. The recent renovation brought contemporary finishes without erasing the classic high-rise hotel bones.

Why It Matters
Named for Buckhead's founder and one of the anchor luxury properties in Atlanta's most upscale district. The spa occupies its own dedicated floor, which is rare. Rooms start at 360 sq ft—generous by big-city standards—and the 56 suites go all the way up to a 1,800 sq ft suite with a billiards table. Conde Nast Traveler has called it one of the best-designed luxury high-rises in the city.
The Whitley sits on Peachtree Road in Buckhead—Atlanta's northern equivalent of Beverly Hills, complete with consulates, designer shopping, and serious restaurants. The hotel itself is a 22-story, 507-room Luxury Collection property named for John Whitley, Buckhead's namesake. It went through a full renovation and now pairs mahogany floors, bay windows, and Italian marble bathrooms with a distinctly Southern warmth that never feels stuffy. There's a whole floor dedicated to the spa, an indoor saline pool, and Trade Root downstairs for Southern-inspired food all day.
