Book BLIND restaurant well in advance — it fills up fast, and the menu is never revealed beforehand

Why It Matters

One of Porto's most architecturally distinctive luxury hotels, housed in an 1861 Romantic palace. Awarded 1 MICHELIN Key in Portugal's first official selection (2025). Home to BLIND, a Michelin-starred tasting menu restaurant led by Chef Vitor Matos — currently the most Michelin-starred chef in Portugal. The literary concept gives every stay a uniquely personal character.

The building dates to 1861 — the Palacete Campos Navarro, a Romantic-era mansion built by a wealthy Porto family, later reimagined by designer Isabel Sá Nogueira into a five-star literary hotel. Every room carries the name and spirit of a Portuguese writer, from Fernando Pessoa in a Royal Suite to Florbela Espanca in a Classic Room. The hotel holds a 2025 MICHELIN Key, houses the Michelin-starred BLIND restaurant, and runs a second building directly across the street with 18 more writer-named apartments.
