Under Canvas Glacier is a safari-inspired glamping camp set in a forested stretch of Coram, Montana, 7 miles from Glacier National Park's west entrance. There are 59 canvas tents — from budget-friendly Safari tents with shared bathhouses to spacious Suites with king beds, queen sofa-beds, and private decks — all heated by actual wood-burning stoves. No WiFi, no TVs. Evenings here fill up with campfire s'mores, stargazing, and borrowed acoustic guitars instead.

Deluxe Tent
The sweet spot for couples. Private ensuite bathroom with shower, sink, and flushing toilet — no shared bathhouse required. Raised wood floors, a private deck with lounge chairs, and typically better siting among the trees for more privacy. Recommended by Mr & Mrs Smith for adventure-loving couples.
KingDeluxe with Kids Tent
All the Deluxe perks — private bathroom, deck, king bed — plus an adjacent kids tent with two twin beds right next door. Designed for families of four. Kids tent has no heat, so pack extra blankets for little ones on cold nights.

The entry-level glamping option. A proper king bed with luxe linens inside a roomy canvas safari tent, kept warm by a wood-burning stove. Shared bathhouse is a short walk away — private lockable rooms with hot showers and flushing toilets. No private deck on this one.

Same safari tent format but configured with three twin beds instead of a king — good for three friends or a parent traveling with two kids. Shared bathhouse access. No private deck.

A Safari Tent paired with an adjacent kids tent containing two twin beds. Good family setup — kids are close but everyone has their own space. Shared bathhouse for all. Note: kids tent has no heat.

2-hour guided glass-bottom (transparent) kayak tour on Flathead Lake's Somers Bay — calm, sheltered waters weaving through a chain of islands. Mountain views, all skill levels welcome. Minimum age 6. Operates Monday–Saturday, June 4 – September 14.
Afternoon scenic float on the Middle Fork Flathead River paired with a gourmet riverside dinner (entrée choice of steak, chicken, or burger, plus appetizer, salad, and dessert). Expert guide and life jacket included. Operates June 15 – September 1.

Evening LED-lit glass kayak tour on Peterson Lake near Bigfork. Launches at sunset, paddles through a private lake with no houses on its shores, then the LED-lit kayaks glow against the night sky. Stargazing is outstanding with minimal light pollution. Minimum age 6. Operates Monday–Saturday.
Half-day whitewater rafting through the John F. Stevens Canyon on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Class rapids, expert guide, life jacket included. Minimum age 5, minimum weight 50 lbs. Operates June 4 – September 14.

Unlimited complimentary coffee and tea available throughout the day from the lobby area.
Organic Essential Oils shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand sanitizer stocked in ensuite bathrooms (Deluxe, Suite, and Suite with Kids tents). Safari tent guests find these in the shared bathhouse.
Every tent comes with a wood-burning stove and complimentary firewood. Essential for cold Montana nights — temps drop into the 40s°F even in peak summer.
Bedside USB battery packs for charging phones and small devices. No electrical outlets in the tents themselves.
Intentional disconnect — no WiFi anywhere on property, no TVs in tents. Evenings are for stargazing, campfires, and the borrowed acoustic guitar.
Dogs are welcome at camp for a small nightly fee. Note: dogs cannot join guests on third-party guided adventures and cannot be left unattended at camp.
