Why It Matters

Under Canvas Glacier holds a Condé Nast Traveler 'Top 20 Resort in the U.S. – Pacific Northwest & West' recognition and is among the first glamping properties ever to earn DarkSky certification. The camp participates in the World of Hyatt loyalty program via its Mr & Mrs Smith partnership, letting members earn and redeem points here.

Under Canvas Glacier is a safari-inspired glamping camp set in a forested stretch of Coram, Montana, 7 miles from Glacier National Park's west entrance. There are 59 canvas tents — from budget-friendly Safari tents with shared bathhouses to spacious Suites with king beds, queen sofa-beds, and private decks — all heated by actual wood-burning stoves. No WiFi, no TVs. Evenings here fill up with campfire s'mores, stargazing, and borrowed acoustic guitars instead.
