Villa Le Corail
Contemporary Mediterranean luxury meets Vietnamese coastal calm. Spanish flair without being fussy — think clean-lined villas, Minotti sofas, floor-to-ceiling glass, and a distinct sense that the food program is taken very seriously.
Book Hispania well in advance — it only has 70 seats total (42 indoor, 28 outdoor terrace) and fills quickly
Why It Matters
Vietnam's first and only Gran Meliá resort, and one of just 15 properties globally under the brand. Home to Hispania — Asia's first outpost of Michelin-starred chef Marcos Morán's acclaimed Spanish restaurant. Every single accommodation unit has a private pool. The on-site coral plantation program is also genuinely rare.
Vietnam's first Gran Meliá resort opened in July 2023 — 92 all-pool villas spread along the shores of Fairy Mountain Bay, looking out toward Turtle Island and the South China Sea. The Spanish-owned brand leans heavily into its Iberian identity here: the signature restaurant is run by a Michelin-starred chef from Asturias, every bathroom gets Carner Barcelona toiletries, and the furniture across the larger villas is by Minotti. It's remote from Nha Trang city (about 20 minutes by car), the lagoons are constructed rather than natural beach, but the privacy and gastronomy are genuinely world-class.
