Villa Spalletti Trivelli
Old-world aristocratic Roman villa — late 19th-century grandeur, antique-furnished rooms, family home warmth. Think fewer than 20 rooms, no crowds, complimentary drawing-room bar, and a rooftop with Jacuzzis overlooking the Roman skyline.
The rooftop private area can be booked exclusively for €165 for up to 3 hours and 4 adults — worth it for a sunset aperitivo with your own Jacuzzi and honesty bar
Why It Matters
One of Rome's only genuine aristocratic family villas operating as a hotel. The building sits directly across from the Quirinal Palace (Italy's presidential residence) on the same hill. The family connection runs to Italian royalty — the current fifth-generation owner Andrea Spalletti Trivelli continues the tradition. The newly opened Caschera Spa (September 2025) sits above the ancient Baths of Constantine. Guests get a complimentary bottle of the family's own Pomario wine on arrival.
A 15-room aristocratic villa on Quirinal Hill, five minutes on foot from the Trevi Fountain. The Spalletti Trivelli family has owned and lived here for five generations — it only opened as a hotel in 2004 after a careful renovation. You stay in genuine family rooms, with antiques from the family's private collection on every surface, and the honesty bar in the Arazzi drawing room is genuinely free. Small, quiet, and dripping with old-money Roman grandeur.
