Why It Matters
The two-chamber room design is genuinely patented — every room, regardless of category, has a sliding barn-style door that splits a 'Dressing Room' (vanity, shower, closet) from 'The Lounge' (bed, SMEG fridge, window seating). It's an airline-inspired layout that gives even the entry-level rooms a suite-like feel. Add The Late Great, a hidden speakeasy-style music lounge, and a rooftop pool on the 14th floor, and the property has enough going on that leaving is genuinely inconvenient.
Virgin Hotels Nashville opened in July 2020 on Music Row — the strip of recording studios and label offices that basically invented modern country music. It's 262 rooms across a LEED Gold-certified building designed by BLUR Workshop, with a 12-piece floating country instrument installation in the lobby as a first impression. The hotel leans hard into entertainment: live music, rooftop DJ sets, writers' rounds in a speakeasy bar, and four distinct food and drink outlets.

The family or squad room. Same two-chamber layout as the King, but with two queen beds and a double vanity in the dressing area. Slightly more square footage, good for groups traveling together who don't want to split into two rooms.

The base room — and genuinely good value for what you get. A barn-style sliding door separates The Dressing Room (full vanity with lit makeup mirror, extra-large rainfall shower with bench, Red Flower toiletries, closet for two) from The Lounge (patented ergonomic lounge bed, red SMEG mini-fridge at street prices, HD TV, yoga mat, built-in window seat with Music Row views). Motion-sensor lighting throughout. Plenty of charging ports.

A step up from the standard Chamber King with more floor space and some upgraded touches. Same two-chamber concept — dressing room with vanity, sliding door into sleeping lounge — but with additional room to move around and a more generous layout.

Nine of these exist in the property. A genuine suite experience: dedicated living room with lounge seating, a dressing room with double vanity, and a private sleeping lounge separated by a privacy door. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over downtown Nashville. Big enough to have friends over for drinks without things feeling cramped.

The top of the stack. One penthouse exists in the property, and it earns the 'flat' designation. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private balcony overlooking Music Row, a pool table, and a record player loaded with Nashville vinyl. The master bathroom has a dual-head shower with a red bathtub inside it — very Virgin. Kitchenette with a full-sized SMEG fridge, and red lanterns hanging over the living area. Where Richard Branson stays when he's in town, reportedly.
