Agnès Guiot du Doignon took a 19th-century hôtel particulier a few blocks from Bordeaux's Golden Triangle and turned it into one of the city's most personal hotels. Twenty individually styled rooms — not one alike — showcase pieces from Tom Dixon, Hubert Le Gall, and Autoban alongside original works by local artist Yannick Fournié. The restaurant serves guests only, the inner courtyard has a magnificent magnolia, and Agnès is very likely to be around.

Three rooms at 23 m2 across the main building and former stables annex. White walls, white linen, and sleek-lined furniture create a calm, almost monastic quality. Some have patios. Understated to the point of being restful.

Crazy Rooms (Executive Crazy)
Four rooms ranging from 35–45 m2, split between the second floor (exposed beams, stone walls, warm atmosphere) and the first floor (4-meter ceiling, floods with light). The giant rounded showers are built into the building's original tower. Bold statement furnishings and saturated colors — the most design-forward rooms in the hotel.

Secret Room (Classic Secret)
Garden-level room reached by pressing '-1' in the elevator. Hidden away from the other rooms, with a private patio overlooking an English-style courtyard. A genuinely quiet retreat. Small at 20 m2, but the seclusion and outdoor access make it special.

So Chic Suites (Junior So'Chic Suite)
Three suites from 45–55 m2, each with owner-selected designer furniture by names like Tom Dixon. Exposed wooden beams paired with contemporary pieces. These are the quiet, refined option — calmer energy than the Crazy Rooms, but just as carefully put together.

The Yndō Suite
At 65 m2, the top-of-house option sits in the annex with elevated views across the private mansion courtyard. Custom-made sofa, kitchen area, dining area, two flat-screen TVs, and a bathroom with both a freestanding tub and separate giant shower. The sofa was made to order. The views of the mansion's architecture are genuinely worth it.

Agnes's 'thirteenth room' — a redesigned 60 m2 oyster-farm hut on the port of Piraillan at Cap Ferret, bookable as a standalone stay. Terrace of 20 m2, fully equipped kitchen, double bed (180 cm), convertible sofa, walk-in shower, bath open to the room, 2 bikes, and fresh breakfast provisions. Colors inspired by the sands and waters of Arcachon Bay. Adjacent to oyster farms, beaches, and the Dune du Pilat.
At the end of the day, guests can take aperitifs in the lush inner courtyard — a glass of Bordeaux wine, grissini, and homemade mini pizzas served under the branches of a magnolia tree. A very Bordeaux way to transition from sightseeing to dinner.
