Car Rental Is Your Best Friend
For a family-focused, nature-oriented Ibiza trip, renting a small car makes it much easier to reach quieter northern and eastern coves, hilltop viewpoints, and inland villages where buses run infrequently.
How to Eat Halal in Ibiza
Outside of a few halal-certified places in Ibiza Town, assume meat is not halal; instead, rely on vegetarian, seafood, and clearly labelled halal supermarket products, and always confirm that no pork or alcohol is used in broths and sauces.
Beach Day Timing with Kids
Arrive at popular beaches by mid-morning for easier parking and quieter sand, then plan indoor or shaded activities during the strongest afternoon sun before returning for late-afternoon swims or sunset.
Booking Boat Trips and Hikes
Reserve organized boat trips and the wild north hike at least a few days in advance in high season, but keep other days flexible so you can swap a hike for an extra beach day if the kids are tired.
Cash, Cards, and Tipping
Cards are widely accepted, but carry some cash for parking, small cafés, and ice cream stands; tipping around 5–10% for good service in restaurants is appreciated but not mandatory.
What to Pack for Jungle-Wild Days
Bring light hiking shoes or sturdy sandals, small daypacks, reusable water bottles, and quick-dry towels so you can comfortably switch between forest walks and coves without going back to your hotel.
Quiet vs Party Areas
Stay and spend evenings in quieter bases like Santa Eulària, Portinatx, or Sant Antoni bay-side if you want calm nights, and visit central Sant Antoni or Playa d’en Bossa only briefly if you’re curious about the nightlife scene.
Staying Connected with Limited Data
Download offline maps for Ibiza, save key locations (beaches, car parks, supermarkets, medical centers), and keep screenshots of reservations so you’re not dependent on a constant data connection.
