Why It Matters
One of the few family resorts in the eastern Med that manages a Design Hotels membership without compromise. The Almyraspa is a proper adults-only complex with its own pool, rooftop yoga, and six treatment rooms. The Notios restaurant's Japanese-Mediterranean fusion is worth booking regardless of where you're staying. Holds Travelife Gold sustainability certification.
Almyra replaced the old Paphos Beach Hotel with a sharp design overhaul and never looked back. It sits on eight acres of landscaped gardens right on the Paphos seafront, and somehow pulls off the rare trick of being genuinely family-friendly without feeling like a theme park. Parisian designer Joëlle Pléot furnished the rooms in Carrara marble and cool neutral tones; Thanos Michaelides handled the architecture. The result is a 187-room resort that feels sleeker and more considered than most Mediterranean properties of this scale.
