Casa 300Mila is the lodging arm of the acclaimed 300Mila empire — four suites inside a handsome villa about 200 metres from Piazza Mazzini, run personally by owner Davide De Matteis and his wife Ekaterina. The vibe is closer to staying in a well-appointed private home than checking into a hotel: Davide's own contemporary art hangs on the walls, Ortigia bath products stock the bathrooms, and fresh flowers appear in the rooms. Across the street, the original 300Mila restaurant-café-sushi bar-pastry shop empire feeds guests at breakfast and keeps them busy well into the evening.
