That breakfast buffet — with freshly squeezed juice, hot dishes, poffertjes, smoked salmon, and the full spread — is genuinely one of the highlights guests rave about. Location next to the Beguinage and Minnewater puts you in the prettiest, quietest corner of Bruges while still being walkable to everything.
Dukes' Academie is a 90-room four-star boutique hotel on a quiet cobblestone street a stone's throw from Bruges' Minnewater (the so-called Lake of Love) and the Beguinage. A full 2023 renovation refreshed everything from the lobby to the bedrooms, giving the place a clean, gentle feel without erasing the original character — the breakfast room still has its genuine vaulted brick ceiling. The Grote Markt and Bruges train station are both about a 10-minute walk away, and De Halve Maan brewery is practically next door. No pool, no full spa on site, but the location does a lot of the heavy lifting.
