Duomo Suites & Spa is a 4-star design hotel occupying a four-story palazzo from the early 1700s in the dead center of Catania's baroque historic district. The building has been seismically reinforced while keeping its period bones intact. Inside, each of the 17 rooms is dedicated to a cult Sicilian film — think The Godfather, Cinema Paradiso, The Leopard — with pop art murals, movie quotes on the walls, and a deliberately minimalist color palette that keeps things cool rather than fussy.
