Book El Cabaret's Rojo Tango show well in advance — it sells out, especially on weekends.

Why It Matters

The hotel that put Puerto Madero on the map. Philippe Starck's design for Alan Faena became one of South America's most talked-about hotel openings of the 2000s. Voted one of Argentina's top five hotels by Condé Nast readers in 2024. The Rojo Tango cabaret show, on-site Faena Art Center, and Argentina's grandest wine cellar (La Cava) make it genuinely impossible to replicate.

Opened in 2004, Faena Hotel Buenos Aires is the original property in the Faena universe — a converted granary in Puerto Madero brought to life by entrepreneur Alan Faena and designer Philippe Starck. The signature crimson carpets, velvet drapes, swan-head faucets, and floor-to-ceiling mirrors make it feel like you've wandered into a theatrical set. It's a 5-star urban resort that wraps art galleries, a nightly tango cabaret, holistic spa, Argentina's largest private wine collection, and multiple acclaimed restaurants all under one roof.
