Why It Matters
One of the few hotels in Brussels that genuinely earns its location. You're sleeping inside a UNESCO World Heritage site arcade, a 2-minute walk from the Grand Place and 5 minutes from Brussels-Central station. The building itself — formerly the Hart workshops where Belgian royal medals were struck — is listed, which constrained the renovation and makes the result all the more impressive. Sitting right inside the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert — one of Europe's oldest covered shopping arcades, built in 1847 — Hôtel des Galeries is a 23-room boutique hotel that punches well above its size. The interiors were designed by Fleur Delesalle and Camille Flammarion: parquet floors, vaulted ceilings, wooden shutters, and geometric ceramic tiles throughout, with a mix of Belgian antiques, contemporary design pieces, and vintage objects. Think cool Parisian apartment energy, but with considerably better waffles outside your door.

A 25 m² room with a queen bed or twin setup, overlooking either the Galerie du Roi or the spectacular glass roof of the Galeries Saint-Hubert. Parquet floors, wooden shutters, geometric ceramic tiles in the bathroom, and a Nespresso machine. Cosy, well-designed, and the gallery view is genuinely something.

A 39 m² split-level attic room with exposed beams and rooftop views — the romantic attic you'd imagine finding in a historic arcade. Sleeps up to 3 with a double bed plus a single bed on the upper level. Good for a small family or three friends who don't mind a split-level layout. Note: the double bed is upstairs, which a few guests mention takes some getting used to.

The crown jewel. This 45 m² attic suite has exposed beams, rooftop views, and its own private footbridge — you enter via a footbridge. King-size bed, sleeps up to 4, and genuinely independent from the rest of the hotel. Guests rave about it. If you're celebrating something, this is the one.

Superior Room
At 29 m², this is a step up in size with a king-size bed. Views are over the legendary Rue des Bouchers or the hotel's inner courtyard. Same design DNA as the rest of the hotel — parquet, ceramics, bespoke furniture — but with that extra space and a king bed.
