Pacific Melbourne
Contemporary urban waterfront. Corporate-leaning, but not sterile. Maritime heritage references in the decor give it some personality. Think quiet luxury over flashy — muted palettes, big windows, serious wine list.

Why It Matters
Award-winning property (Australia's Leading Hotel 2025 and Australia's Best MICE Hotel 2025) with the most direct access to Melbourne's Convention and Exhibition Centre of any hotel in the city. The Pacific Club Lounge on Level 4 is one of the better executive lounge setups in Melbourne — good enough that some guests book Club rooms purely for breakfast and evening drinks. Dock 37 was named Best Hotel Restaurant by the Restaurant and Catering Awards.
Pan Pacific Melbourne sits along the Yarra River in the South Wharf precinct, directly connected to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre via an internal walkway. The 396-room hotel leans heavily on its maritime setting — Dock 37's wood-lined interiors nod to the tall ships that once worked these docks, and the whole place carries a quiet confidence that suits both the suits-and-conference crowd and the occasional leisure guest. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every room mean the city skyline and Port Phillip Bay views do a lot of the heavy lifting. No pool. No spa on-site. But the gym is excellent, the Pacific Club Lounge is genuinely luxurious, and the service consistently earns high marks.
