Room Mate Giulia sits right off Piazza del Duomo — you can practically see the cathedral from the front door, and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a 30-second walk away. Patricia Urquiola designed the whole thing, pulling materials and references directly from Milan itself: the pink marble in the lobby matches the Duomo's, terracotta bricks get a 3D twist on the walls, and the color palette of moss green, blush, and terracotta runs through all 85 rooms. Grid-print ceilings, octagonal mirrors, colorful mosaic-tiled bathrooms, and illustrations by local Milanese artists give the place real personality. It's the kind of hotel that's genuinely good to look at.
