A restored colonial casona on Calle 43 in Mérida's Santa Ana neighborhood, TreeHouse is a 15-room, adults-only courtyard hotel built around mature trees and dense tropical greenery. The trees — saved during the renovation by owner Sunita Martin and her family — are the whole point. They create a naturally cool microclimate inside, which matters enormously in a city where April–June temperatures regularly top 38°C. A slender chukum pool (traditional Yucatecan limestone-and-resin construction) threads between the vegetation, hammocks hang between the porticos, and the design mixes period colonial architecture with contemporary Mexican furnishings and Danish Modern lounge chairs. It feels less like a hotel and more like staying at someone's very well-designed home.

Located on the second floor, these rooms have more privacy and a balcony — either private or shared — overlooking the pool and courtyard. The position above the garden gives better sightlines into the greenery without sacrificing quiet. Peacock Alley linens on the beds.

Most Queen Retreat rooms sit on the ground floor with direct garden and pool views. Easier access to the courtyard is the trade-off for slightly less privacy. Simply and beautifully decorated with tiled floors, wooden furnishings, and local arts and crafts. A wheelchair-accessible room is available — contact the hotel directly.

The Petite Room
Also called the Queen Luxe Petite Room. Tucked away on the second floor, it's the most intimate option on the property. The defining feature is a bathroom lit by skylights — an unusual and pleasant touch. Smaller footprint, but the same linens and amenity quality as the other rooms.
