Vintage Hôtel Brussels
Retro-boutique. 1970s design throughout, owner-run warmth, cheerful and a bit eccentric. Feels personal rather than corporate.

Why It Matters
One of very few hotels in Brussels with a genuine design identity — and probably the only one where you can sleep in a vintage Airstream caravan in the courtyard. Won the Visit Brussels Award in 2012.
Open since 2007, Vintage Hôtel Brussels is a 38-room owner-run boutique hotel in the Saint-Gilles neighbourhood, 50 metres from Avenue Louise. Run by Fabian and Isabelle Henrion, the hotel leans hard into 1970s aesthetics — think warm retro tones, curated vintage details, and a bar that feels more living room than lobby. Its standout feature is a fully restored 1958 Airstream caravan parked in the courtyard, available as a glamping suite. Breakfast is not included and costs extra, rooms on the smaller end can feel tight, and there's no pool or spa — but that's not what this place is about.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The sunny patio terrace off the Wine & Beer bar is one of the hotel's best spots. Quiet side street, retro garden furniture, a glass of Belgian beer. Low-key and genuinely enjoyable.
The hotel's signature experience: staying overnight in the fully restored 1958 Airstream caravan in the courtyard. It's been recognised across Europe as a standout urban glamping concept.
