All Months
April through September gives you the best weather — dry days, cool nights, and clear mountain views. Temperatures hover around 23°C during the day, dropping to 18°C at night. Perfect for walking around without melting.
Avoid weekends if you can. Jakarta residents flood Bandung every Saturday and Sunday, turning the normally chill city into a traffic nightmare. Hotel prices spike, restaurants get crowded, and that relaxed vibe disappears. Come midweek for a completely different experience.
Rainy season (October to March) isn't terrible, but afternoon downpours can derail outdoor plans. The upside? Fewer crowds and cheaper accommodation. Plus, the rain cools things down even more, and the surrounding mountains turn impossibly green.
During Indonesian school holidays (June-July and December-January), expect higher prices and busier attractions. Book accommodation early, especially in Lembang where the boutique hotels fill up fast.
