Events & Festivals
- •Batanes Day celebration (various dates)
- •Summer school holidays bring some domestic tourism
July Tips
- •This is genuinely risky travel season - have flexible plans and good insurance
- •Many outdoor activities and boat trips get cancelled regularly
- •Accommodation prices drop but availability can be limited due to weather damage
All Months
March through May gives you the best weather — dry, clear skies, and calm seas for island hopping. November and December work too, with cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. June to October is typhoon season. Not just rain — we're talking category 4 storms that shut down flights for days. Airlines cancel routes regularly during these months. Even if you make it, you might get stuck. The upside of shoulder season (November, December) is lower accommodation prices and having viewpoints mostly to yourself. Pack layers regardless of when you visit. Mornings can be cool and foggy, afternoons warm, evenings chilly again.
