All Months
May and October are the sweet spots. Temperatures hover around 25°C, the sea is swimmable, and you'll actually find hotel availability. Restaurant reservations are possible, and you won't wait an hour for a taxi.
June through September is peak season, and Bodrum transforms into a different beast. July sees temperatures hit 35°C regularly, and August brings the entire Istanbul elite to town. Hotel prices triple, and good luck getting a table at decent restaurants without connections. But this is also when the energy peaks – beach clubs pump music until dawn, and the harbor fills with million-dollar yachts.
Avoid November through April unless you're here for the history and don't care about swimming. Most beach clubs and seasonal restaurants close, and the famous Bodrum nightlife goes into hibernation. The castle and museums stay open, and you'll have them mostly to yourself, but that's about it.
Weather-wise, expect rain in winter but nothing like Northern Europe. Spring arrives early – March already sees mild days perfect for exploring the peninsula's ancient sites.
