Bohol in May
Great time to visit
The heat becomes genuinely challenging, but crowds disappear and prices drop significantly. May works if you're comfortable with very early starts and long afternoon siestas in air-conditioned spaces.
Weather
May cranks up the heat to 33°C with sticky nights around 26°C. Pre-monsoon humidity makes everything feel hotter than the thermometer suggests. Afternoon thunderstorms start building but usually dissipate quickly, providing brief relief.

All Months
November through May gives you the best weather—dry, sunny, and perfect for island hopping. December and January are peak season, so book accommodations early and expect higher prices. March through May gets hot and humid, but the crowds thin out.
Avoid June through October. The southwest monsoon brings heavy rains, rough seas, and cancelled boat trips. Some resorts on Panglao close entirely during this period. If you do visit during rainy season, pack waterproof gear and have backup indoor plans.
Holy Week (March or April) sees massive domestic tourism. Prices spike, and finding accommodation becomes a nightmare. Chinese New Year also brings crowds, particularly to Chocolate Hills and tarsier sanctuaries.
For the best deals and weather, target February through March. You'll get post-holiday pricing with excellent conditions for diving and beach activities.
