But crowds peak during Christmas week and Presidents Day — lift lines stretch 30+ minutes and lodging costs double. January and early February bring the coldest temperatures but also the lightest crowds. Temperatures hover around 10-25°F, so pack serious winter gear. Summer transforms Breckenridge completely. July and August offer perfect hiking weather with temperatures in the 70s during the day, 40s at night. The wildflowers peak in mid-July.
