Český Krumlov in June
Great time to visit
June kicks off peak season with gorgeous weather and the summer music scene. The town fills with international visitors, so spontaneous plans become harder to execute, but the atmosphere grows infectious.
Weather
June serves up ideal Central European weather - warm days perfect for wandering cobblestone streets and cool evenings made for riverside dining. Rain becomes a weekly rather than daily concern, usually arriving as brief thunderstorms in late afternoon. Humidity stays comfortable, and those long summer days stretch until nearly 9 PM.

All Months
May through September gives you the best weather, but timing matters more than you'd think. July and August bring crushing crowds — the narrow streets become human traffic jams by noon.
My sweet spot? Late May or early September. You get warm days, cool evenings perfect for riverside walks, and manageable crowds. Plus accommodation prices drop significantly outside peak summer.
Winter has its own magic if you can handle the cold. Snow transforms those Gothic spires into something from a fairy tale. Many restaurants close, but the ones that stay open feel intimate and local. Just dress warmly — those stone buildings hold the chill.
Avoid major Czech holidays unless you enjoy elbow-to-elbow sightseeing. Easter weekend and Czech Statehood Day in September pack the town beyond comfort.
