Dubai in September

Good time to visit

A tiny improvement in conditions but still uncomfortably hot for most outdoor activities. Better for budget travelers who can handle some heat than the brutal summer months.

Weather

September begins the slow crawl back to civilization with temperatures dropping slightly to 40°C days and 29°C nights. Humidity remains high at 80%, but you can sense the season preparing to turn. Still no rain in sight.

September Tips

  • Prices still low but weather marginally more bearable
  • Early morning activities become slightly more feasible
  • Many attractions start extending their hours in preparation for tourist season

All Months

November through April offers the only weather you'll want to spend time outdoors. Temperatures hover around 25-30°C, humidity drops, and you can actually walk between buildings without melting. This is peak season, so hotel rates double and restaurant reservations get harder to snag. December and January are perfect — cool enough for desert camping, warm enough for beach days. The Dubai Shopping Festival runs January through February with genuine discounts and nightly fireworks. March and April heat up but remain bearable. Pool weather kicks in, and hotel rates start dropping. Ramadan timing varies each year — check dates before booking. Many restaurants close during daylight hours, though hotels continue normal service. May through October? Only visit if you love 45°C heat and 90% humidity. Air conditioning bills spike, outdoor activities become impossible after 8am, and even the beaches feel like saunas. But hotel rates drop 50-70%, and you'll have pools mostly to yourself.
