Fiji (Yasawa Islands) in July
Great time to visit
July is Fiji's show-off month when everything aligns perfectly. The crowds and prices reflect this - it's expensive but absolutely worth every cent if you can swing it.
Weather
July cranks up the perfection with bone-dry conditions, constant sunshine, and trade winds that feel like nature's air conditioning. Night temperatures can actually get chilly by tropical standards, dropping into the high teens.

July Tips
- •Book 6+ months ahead or pay through the nose
- •Bring warm clothes for evening - you'll actually need them
- •July has the best visibility for diving and snorkeling all year
All Months
May through October brings the driest weather and calmest seas - perfect for snorkeling and diving. Temperatures hover around 26°C, and you'll see maybe three rainy days per month. This is peak season, so expect higher prices and advance bookings. November through April gets wetter and more humid, but also fewer crowds and better deals. Cyclone season runs December to April, though direct hits are rare. The shoulder months of May and October offer the best balance of good weather and reasonable prices. Trade winds keep things comfortable year-round, but they can make boat transfers choppy during windy spells.
