Great time to visit
December represents Kochi at its most perfect and most expensive. The combination of ideal weather and Christmas festivities creates an irresistible but crowded experience that commands top dollar.
Weather
December brings Kochi's most comfortable weather with cool, dry conditions and the lowest humidity of the year at 65%. Rain is rare, and gentle coastal breezes make even midday heat pleasant. Crystal clear skies are the norm.

All Months
October through March is Kochi's sweet spot. The monsoons have washed the air clean, temperatures hover around 28°C, and the humidity won't melt your camera. December and January are peak season – book accommodation early or pay premium prices.
The Kochi-Muziris Biennale runs December through April in odd years (next one's 2025). The entire city becomes an art gallery, with installations in warehouses, palaces, and random buildings. Hotel prices double, but the energy is infectious.
Avoid April and May unless you enjoy feeling like a human curry. Temperatures hit 35°C with 80% humidity. The monsoons (June-September) are dramatic but impractical – half the outdoor attractions close, and ferry services get sketchy.
Here's the thing about shoulder season: November and March offer the best deal. Weather's still good, crowds are manageable, and you can actually get a table at the popular restaurants without booking ahead.
