Koh Lipe in July
Not the best time
July throws everything the monsoon has at Koh Lipe. This is nature's way of telling tourists to stay home.
Weather
Peak monsoon delivers relentless rain and choppy seas that trap you on the island. Expect daily deluges lasting 3-4 hours. Southwest winds create dangerous conditions for small boats.

- •Pack multiple sets of dry clothes - nothing stays dry
All Months
November through April delivers perfect weather with calm seas and zero rain. This is peak season, which means crowds, high prices, and boats running on schedule. The water stays crystal clear, and you can snorkel or dive every day without worrying about choppy conditions.
December and January bring the biggest crowds and highest prices. Accommodation rates triple, and popular restaurants fill up by 7 PM. But the weather stays absolutely perfect - think 30°C days and 25°C nights with constant sunshine. Book everything in advance during these months.
February through April offers the best balance of good weather and manageable crowds. Prices drop slightly after New Year, and you can still find last-minute accommodation. The northeast monsoon starts weakening, so you get calmer seas for water activities.
May through October is monsoon season, and most businesses shut down completely. The few places that stay open offer rock-bottom prices, but boats to the island become unreliable. Rough seas can strand you for days, and many dive shops close entirely. Only consider visiting during this period if you're comfortable with uncertainty and have flexible travel dates.
