Hotel prices spike 40% above shoulder season rates. September might be Como's most beautiful month — warm days, cool evenings, and the soft light that photographers dream about.
October extends the season with mild days and dramatic autumn colors reflecting in the lake. Many restaurants and hotels close by November 1st, though the major towns maintain skeleton service through winter. December through February sees the lake at its most peaceful, with snow-capped mountains providing dramatic backdrops for the handful of visitors who brave the cold.
