September and October bring similar weather with fewer tourists and better hotel prices. The Atlantic stays warm enough for swimming at nearby beaches, and the light turns golden for those sunset photos from the miradouros. Summer (July-August) means heat, crowds, and inflated prices. Temperatures can hit 35°C, making those hill climbs brutal. But if you can handle the heat, the city buzzes with energy. Outdoor festivals happen nightly, and the beaches at Cascais and Estoril are at their best.
