Livingstone in July
Great time to visit
July represents peak Livingstone season for good reason. Weather is absolutely flawless, but you'll pay premium prices and fight crowds at every major attraction.
Weather
July gives you those iconic African winter days - blindingly sunny with temperatures that feel just right all day long. Humidity stays near zero, and you'll need that jacket for early morning game drives when it can hit 5°C.

July Tips
- •Book everything months ahead - this is absolute peak season
- •Early morning Devil's Pool walks require serious warm clothing
- •Perfect conditions for white water rafting and bungee jumping
All Months
April through October gives you the sweet spot - dry season means clear skies for helicopter rides and comfortable temperatures for game drives. But timing depends on what you want from Victoria Falls. April and May show the falls at full power after rainy season - spectacular but you'll get soaked on the viewing paths. July through September offers the best wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. This is peak season though, so book early and expect higher prices. October gets brutally hot - 40°C days aren't uncommon - but it's the best time for white-water rafting as water levels drop to expose the biggest rapids. November through March brings rain, flooding, and humidity. Some activities shut down and the falls disappear behind mist. But accommodation costs plummet and you'll have the place mostly to yourself.
