All Months
April through September is peak season for good reason. The humidity drops, the rain stops, and you can actually enjoy hiking without melting. Water temperatures stay around 24-26°C year-round, so swimming is always on the table.
July and August get busy with southern visitors escaping winter. Book accommodation early and expect higher prices. But the weather is perfect – clear skies, gentle breezes, and comfortable temperatures for wildlife spotting.
October and November offer the sweet spot: fewer crowds, good weather, and reasonable prices. The wildflowers start blooming, and baby animals appear on the trails.
December through March is the wet season. It's hot, humid, and cyclone season runs November to April. Some days you'll get spectacular storms that clear the air, other days it's just oppressive. Many businesses reduce hours or close entirely in January.
But here's the thing about the wet season – accommodation is half price, you'll have beaches to yourself, and the island turns incredibly green. Just pack rain gear and embrace the tropical chaos.
