June through November brings more rain but also fewer crowds and better deals. Morning showers clear by afternoon most days. Hurricane season officially runs June to November, but major storms rarely hit Martinique directly.
Carnival season in February and March transforms the island. Fort-de-France erupts in colorful parades and street parties. Hotels book solid during this period, so reserve early. The energy is infectious, but expect noise and crowds.
