All Months
Here's the thing about eternal spring — it's not marketing hype. Medellín sits at 5,000 feet elevation near the equator, creating year-round temperatures between 70-80°F. You'll pack the same clothes whether you visit in January or July.
Dry season runs December through March and June through August. These months see less afternoon rain and clearer mountain views. But even wet season rarely ruins plans — showers typically last 30 minutes in late afternoon.
December brings Alumbrados, when the entire city lights up for Christmas. The Medellín River becomes a corridor of lights, and every neighborhood competes for the best displays. Hotels fill up and prices double, but the atmosphere is electric.
Feria de las Flores in early August celebrates the region's flower-growing heritage. Parades, concerts, and flower displays take over the city for a week. It's crowded but magical.
Avoid Easter week if you want to save money. Colombians vacation domestically, driving up prices and filling attractions. But the weather remains perfect.
