Mumbai in January
Great time to visit
This is Mumbai at its absolute best - cool, dry, and comfortable. Yes, it's crowded and pricey, but you'll actually want to explore the city instead of hiding in air conditioning.

All Months
November through March gives you the best weather window. Temperatures hover around 25-30°C, humidity drops to bearable levels, and you can actually walk outside without melting.
December and January are peak season – hotels cost more, but you'll understand why when you're not sweating through your shirt by 10 AM. This is when Mumbai feels most livable.
April starts getting uncomfortable. May through September is monsoon season, and Mumbai floods regularly. The city literally shuts down during heavy rains. Streets become rivers, trains stop running, and you're stuck wherever you are.
But here's the thing about monsoon season – hotel prices drop 40-50%, and there's something romantic about watching the Arabian Sea during a thunderstorm from your hotel window. Just don't plan outdoor activities.
October is transition month. Still humid, occasional rains, but the city starts coming back to life. Good deals on accommodation if you don't mind some uncertainty.
