Nadi in March

Not the best time

The beginning of the transition away from wet season chaos. Weather's still unpredictable but you'll catch glimpses of why people love Fiji.

Weather

March marks the tail end of cyclone season but rain still dominates most days. The humidity starts dropping slightly, making 31°C feel more bearable than previous months. Trade winds begin picking up again, offering some relief from the sticky air.

March Tips

  • Late March sees weather starting to improve
  • Accommodation prices begin dropping after peak season
  • Snorkeling visibility improves as storms become less frequent

All Months

May through October is peak season for good reason — less rain, lower humidity, and trade winds that actually make it comfortable. July gets busy with Australian school holidays, so book ahead. November through April brings cyclone season and daily afternoon downpours, but also fewer crowds and cheaper accommodation. The rain usually hits around 2pm and clears by evening. January and February are the wettest months — skip these unless you're getting serious deals. Water temperature stays warm year-round, but visibility for snorkeling improves dramatically in the dry season.
