March through May hits the sweet spot. Temperatures stay comfortable in the high 20s Celsius, humidity remains manageable, and you'll avoid both the crowds and higher prices of peak season.
June through August brings the busiest period as domestic tourists flood in during summer holidays. Hotels cost more and beaches get packed, but the weather stays reliably good.
September through December sees more rain, particularly October and November when typhoons occasionally threaten the coast. But this shoulder season offers better deals and fewer crowds if you don't mind occasional downpours.
Avoid late October through early December if possible — this is when the northeast monsoon brings rough seas and frequent storms that can disrupt island tours and water activities.
