North Texas in November
Great time to visit
November is one of the best months to visit North Texas.
All Months
March through May gives you perfect weather and wildflower season. The bluebonnets bloom across the region, and temperatures hover in the 70s. But everyone knows this — hotel prices spike and attractions get crowded.
Fall (October-November) might be even better. The oppressive heat finally breaks, football season brings energy to the whole region, and you can actually enjoy outdoor activities without melting. State Fair of Texas runs late September through mid-October, bringing deep-fried everything and massive crowds to Fair Park.
Summer is brutal. We're talking 100+ degrees from June through August, with humidity that makes it feel like 110. Locals adapt — they hit pools, stay indoors during peak hours, and plan everything around air conditioning. Hotels drop prices, though.
Winter stays mild compared to most places. January averages in the 50s, with occasional ice storms that shut down the city. Locals can't drive on ice, and the infrastructure isn't built for it. But you'll have attractions to yourself and restaurant reservations become easy to snag.
