December through February brings the heat. Temperatures hit 35°C regularly, but the ocean stays warm and the city comes alive with festivals. Just pack sunscreen and plan indoor activities for the hottest part of the day. March and April offer the best balance - still warm enough for swimming, but crowds thin out and accommodation prices drop. The autumn light is gorgeous for photography.
