Great time to visit
The last month of prime dry season offers excellent weather with slightly fewer crowds than peak months. Smart travelers who want great conditions without maximum chaos aim for late March.

All Months
November through April gives you the classic tropical paradise weather - sunny days, cool evenings, and minimal rain. December and January are peak season, so expect higher prices and fuller beaches. Book accommodation at least two months ahead for these months.
May starts the rainy season, but here's the thing - the rain usually comes in short, heavy bursts rather than all-day drizzle. Hotel rates drop by 30-40%, and you'll have beaches mostly to yourself between showers.
June through October brings the heaviest rains and strongest winds. Some boat tours get cancelled, and several beach clubs close entirely. But if you don't mind getting wet, this is when you'll find the best deals and smallest crowds.
The shoulder months of April and November offer the best balance - good weather, reasonable prices, and manageable crowds. April can get quite hot (35°C+), but the sea breeze helps.
Avoid Vietnamese holidays like Tet (February) and Golden Week (early May) when domestic tourism peaks. Prices triple and everything gets booked solid.
